Scope:
The scope of work for the rehabilitation of Bucholtz Bridge is comprehensive and involves various tasks. The project encompasses the removal of existing asphalt and waterproofing from the deck, as well as the replacement of expansion joint assemblies. Structural enhancements involve complete modifications to the structural steel and the jacking of the superstructure. Additionally, the project requires the removal of existing bearings, the construction of new concrete bearing pedestals, and the installation of new elastomeric bearing assemblies. Other tasks involve extending the existing deck drain, recoating structural steel at abutments, applying a new asphalt and waterproofing system, and installing new SBGR connections.
