Scope:
After enduring decades of exposure to road salts, the lower sections of these paired culverts had succumbed to corrosion. A forward-thinking remedy for this issue involved the introduction of new culvert liners. To enhance structural integrity, the annular space was filled with cellular grout, providing ample support for the load-bearing requirements of the traffic above. The construction process to achieve this solution encompassed the execution of a dewatering strategy, involving the installation of cofferdams, redirection of flow to the alternate culvert, and dewatering the culvert designated for liner placement, mirroring the process for the parallel culvert.
